Our Aims and Objectives
  • To hold regular meetings and conferences in order to update knowledge and skills related to childhood neurodevelopmental disorder.
  • To promote in service training of various categories of health professionals i.e. doctor, medical students, nurses, therapist in child neurology. To achieve this objective, centers of excellence will be identified where expertise is currently available.
  • To promote research in developmental medicine and child neurology. The society will encourage collaborative studies on important disorders such as epilepsy and cerebral palsy. The society will encourage epidemiological studies to assess the magnitude of neurodevelopment problems and interventions studies to prevent childhood disability.
  • To develop linkages with other societies and bodies to promote rational management of neurodevelopmental disorders. The society will promote interdisciplinary coordination between pediatricians, child psychiatrists and specialist in PMR.
  • To make a liaison with  international organization and societies concern with child neurology.
  • To generate a directory of resource centers and health professionals working in child neurology.
  • To support activities concern with patient education in chronic childhood neurological disorders. The society will extend help to parents in forming parents support group for various childhood neurological disorders.
  • To support activities concerned with advocacy of patients with disability.
  • To develop public awareness regarding common childhood disorders particularly epilepsy and cerebral palsy.
  • Generally to do all such things which may be deemed incidental or conductive to the attainment of the above objectives.

The 15th International Child Neurology Congress (ICNC), will be held in Mumbai, between 15th-18th November 2018.
